SCP-8920 (?)
SCP-8920 is a dangerous weather phenomenon that appears annually as a powerful hybrid of a hurricane and a supercell thunderstorm, typically forming in the North Atlantic and heading towards the US coast. It generates an unusually high number of strong tornadoes that last longer and move unpredictably, and its internal wind speeds and pressure are far beyond what's naturally possible. Survivors of these storms often experience vivid hallucinations, hearing voices of loved ones calling them to go outside, and the entity is suspected to be sentient, possibly feeding on the life energy of those caught in its path. Initially, weather modification technology helped weaken it, but SCP-8920 has adapted, now mimicking normal storms until it makes landfall, making it harder to stop.
The Meaning of Hitler (?)
The Wikipedia article "The Meaning of Hitler" describes a 1978 book by Sebastian Haffner that analyzes the life and impact of Adolf Hitler. The book is divided into sections examining various aspects of Hitler's life, including his perceived achievements, successes, misconceptions, mistakes, and crimes. Haffner argues that Hitler, initially seen as a successful leader by many Germans for economic and military policy, ultimately achieved the opposite of his stated goals, leading to Germany's destruction and the rise of other global powers. The article also mentions a 2020 documentary film that uses Haffner's book as a starting point for its own exploration of Hitler's legacy.
