Backend engineer. I build systems that hold up when things get real.
Most of my work has been at early-stage startups where the codebase is young, the requirements change fast, and someone has to own the backend end to end. That someone has usually been me.
Core: Python, Django, FastAPI, Django Ninja, Django REST Framework,
Data: PostgreSQL, Redis, MySQL
Infrastructure: Docker, Celery, Nginx, Gunicorn
Auth: JWT, OAuth, API Keys, Webhooks, RBAC
Languages: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bash, SQL
Tools: Neovim, Git, Postman, Linux
Wallet Service — Production-grade wallet backend. Paystack integration with idempotent webhook processing, atomic transfers, and a scoped API key system. Built to handle real money with zero room for error.
Shopifyte API — Multi-vendor ecommerce backend. Each vendor gets an isolated store. Custom image service compresses and watermarks product photos. Shop-scoped permissions enforced on every request.
PostCraft Agent — Telex integration that converts any blog URL into a Twitter thread and LinkedIn post using Google Gemini. My first production AI integration. JSON-RPC because Telex said so.
Taskingdom — Backend developer on a task-based gaming platform with real-money rewards. Built fraud prevention logic, a hybrid Redis/PostgreSQL state tracking system, and webhook integration for third-party game outcomes.
Meerge Africa — Owned the Supplier service from scratch. 500+ suppliers, four-state approval workflow, JWT service-to-service auth, and 8 weeks as acting backend lead when the engineering lead left mid-project.
HNG 13 — Finalist out of 22,000+ applicants. One of roughly 500 finalists. Built the Admin system solo and the notification system for Sitelytics, a website analysis platform for non-technical users.
AI integration for backend systems. Not the hype — the engineering. How do you serve a model reliably? How do you build an agent that fails gracefully? How do you cache LLM responses without serving stale answers? PostCraft was the start. The photo finder app is next.
