Auto-verification has poor name readability

Hi everyone,

I know this is not a brand-new topic, but I have something to strongly discuss.

I failed several times to get approved; the reason was all about my name. It was saying it can't check the name properly and suggested to check billing and payment information if it's correct. However, I found the information was correct, and the photo included my name.

I think there are 2 major problems with checking the name.

• There's a problem with the name structure.
  As a Korean, several problems were present when entering my name in billing and payment information.

1. Usually, we swap the names' position; the last name goes before the first name.
2. Almost all (like 98%) Korean has a single letter last name, but GitHub refuses to use a single letter name.

I know the second problem is not something able to fix, so I just added a blank at the end of my last name, and it was passable.
But the first problem has little issue because this means I have to enter my name swapped. It may not be that important, but I think auto-verification has to add something to check if the name is swapped.

• Captured picture uploads in low quality (it looks like).
  I don't know if this is just a visual flaw, but it seems like it automatically downscales the photo. (maybe for security or size?)
  Due to that mechanism, the name easily became blurry and unreadable, even though it was readable when it was of original quality. I think this problem will be significant if characters are more complicated. (like Chinese characters)

In that case, upscaling wouldn't be helpful because there's a really low chance of recovering to the original character. I had to do many things to include all information including a fairly large size of name and the result was 5 rejections in a row.

Is there any reason downscaling photo? Or is it just a bug that happens to specific devices? Or is it just visual appearance, and no problem with sending the original photo?

I appreciate contributors work and I have no will to devalue it. I just hope that a lot of users will find it easier to access this project.
